Lines written in spring

 *நீங்கள் நிதானமாக நடக்கச் செல்கீறீர்களா,நீங்கள் நகரவாசியாக இருந்தால்       உங்கள் வழியில் என்ன அல்லது யாரைப் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று                             எதிர்பார்க்கிறீர்கள்?

 *நீங்கள் ஒரு கிராமத்திற்குச் சென்றால் என்ன காட்சிகளைக்  கவனிப்பீர்கள் ?

 *இனி வசந்த காலத்தின் துவக்கத்தில் எழுதபட்ட கவிதை வரிகளைப்                       படியுங்கள்   இது இயற்கையின் மீதான கவிஞரின் உணர்வுகளையும்                         அதிலிருந்து அவர்   கற்றுக் கொண்ட பாடங்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. 

 

 I head a thousand blended notes

While in a grove I sale reclined

In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts

Bring sad thoughts so the mind

To her fair works did nature link

The human soul that through me rain;

And much in grieved my heart to think

What man has made of man

Through primrose tuffs ,in that green bower

The peri winle trail'd its wreaths:

And is my faith that every flower

Enjoy's the air it breathes

The birds around me hopp'd and play'd 

Their thoughts I cannot measure

But the least motion which they made 

It seem'd a thrill of pleasure

The badding twings spread out their fan

To catch the breezy air;

And I must think ,do all I can,

That there was pleasure there

If this belief from heaven be sent,

If such be Nature's holy plan

Have I not reason to lament

What man has made of man ?
